The Angelina College Roadrunners already knew the outcome of a key conference game taking place Saturday in Port Arthur before AC tipped off against Lee College.

Lamar State College-Port Arthur's Seahawks had just beaten Jacksonville College, meaning the Roadrunners would need to beat Lee in order to lock down second place in the Region XIV South Zone's final standings.

No problem.

Kevin Norman scored 26 points, Hunter Janacek and Braxton Foreman scored 11 points each – with the two sharpshooters combining for six of the team's 13 three-pointers – in a 69-54 win at Shands Gymnasium.

The win marked AC's seventh straight and 10th in the past 11 games. More importantly, AC finishes the regular season in second place in the South Zone and clinches a first-round bye in Tuesday's conference tournament first round taking place in Shreveport.

Norman accounted for six treys himself, adding six rebounds, three assists and four steals to his totals.

Prior to tip-off, the team honored sophomores Kevin Norman, Deedy Gauno, Kenan Jackson, Markus Stevenson and Hunter Janacek as part of Sophomore Night.

The Roadrunners (17-13, 9-8) now await tournament seeding expected to be released on Monday.
